      Many thanks for watching and commenting, arse third time writing this one, doing it in word (LibreOffice) this time as it’s gone vavoom again🙄☹. Something like; it’s easy to progress into stouts if you like darker beers as the taste often isn’t too much more, just a colour difference most times. Muntons do generally produce a fairly decent beer although it can sometimes be reflected in the price🙄. That being the case the most expensive kits around still work out at about 75p/p so it’s far cheaper than going to the pub😉! Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

    ok, dont attack me but, is a kit the same without malt extract (dry/liquid) and the yeast it came with. Cheers 🍻

    • @Schnuz
      @Schnuz Месяц назад

      Many thanks for watching and commenting and I respect everyone's opinion, even if they are wrong 😉 😜 🤣. I decided a bit back to do a comparison of all of the kits available that I haven't previously done. To be fair to the kits I've done previously I decided to do them, as a base line, with the same sugar and yeast that I previously have; standard table sugar and my re-used S-04 yeast, which I usually mention. Every poor standard kit can be improved by adding brew enhancer, malt extract in whichever form or even a pre hopped malt extract.... or.... or ....or, the possibilities are nearly endless 🫣. I have been trying to produce a general comparison so everyone can use that as a baseline, using the yeast supplied with the kit may be positive or negative, just like using a different ABV enhancer could be positive or negative. Using sucrose (standard table sugar) should not finish any sweeter than using dextrose (brewing sugar) as sucrose is just a combined dextrose and fructose molecule and both of those sugars are completely fermentable and the yeast can split them very easily to use the energy stored to produce alcohol in an anaerobic condition. It is possible that in a very pale lager type beer that sucrose might leave a slightly fruity flavour. I don't normally brew insipid light beers and lagers but I have been doing for the sake of this experiment and I have noticed a very slight fruitiness in those styles but never in darker beers (unless it's hop 🤢 driven 🤣). Your opinion doesn't offend in the slightest and I'm going to stop now before I really start a lecture 🤣. I could talk about the subject of beer for hours and messages only capture main points which can be taken the wrong way, hopefully not 😢. I read all of the messages on my videos and reply to them all eventually. Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

      Many thanks for watching and commenting. We never had the wing mirrors not retracting but I think they are on the same wiring loom and subjected to the same stresses as the central locking and windows. Sadly we got rid of Ulrika last year so I won't be posting any more Bongo videos. I don't even think that I can still access the wiring diagrams as I used to access them from Bongo Fury (a great source of information if you didn't already know about it). Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

      Many thanks for watching and commenting. The chains cost about a tenner each at the cheapest (slightly less if you bulk buy) so sharpening the chain eight times (and another after the fact) was a huge cost saving even after buying all three. The main advice is go cheap or buy a toy, ignore the mid range faff. Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

      Many thanks for watching and commenting, it took about five days in total over about two months. About a day to drop the tree, two days to shred all of the branches and cut the logs up and then two days to remove the stump, I certainly earned my beer I can tell you 🤣🍺🍺. Wow man, what a job. Nice work and clever way of doing it. I've never had to do anything quite like that with stump removal and all, but I do have more than my share of yard maintenance with hedges, trees, bushes, etc, enough to keep me busy out there almost every week. Trouble is it's been too hot to do anything lately, upwards of 96 F (35.5 C). As for the grass, it turned into a desert a month ago due to lack of rain. Great video. Cheers🍺

    • @Schnuz

      Many thanks for watching and commenting. I've never removed a stump before and the location meant I couldn't just jack it out like I've seen on other vids. The pressure washer idea did work well but I could only get to two sides of the stump so then I had to cut slices off the stump going in blind and trying to guess when the chain would go through and hit dirt and failing most of the time and having to resharpen the chain. We only dream about those sort of temperatures, our summers are generally slightly warmer rain 🤣. Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

      Many thanks for watching and commenting and many beers were had in the process (but not during of course as dangerous power tools and beer don't tend to mix very well 😎 🤣). Total time lapsed was about two months but I only had one day a week available to do anything at most. The pressure washer would have made it an absolute doddle if I could have got all the way round it rather than just two sides. Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

      Many thanks for watching and commenting and I wasn't actually working that fast, it was edited X100 to get over two hours of footage into less than 10 minutes 🤣. Several showers were taken as it took a few weekends to remove the tree (only one day possibly available and dog walks having to be fitted in 😉) and beer was imbibed, sometimes before and every time after each shower. I did resist temptation while using slightly dangerous power tools though 😎. I did quite enjoy the whole process, especially after getting the chainsaw, I can't believe that I've resisted getting one for so long 😲! Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

    Lovely beer, that. I'm happy this one turned out to be a winner for you. As mentioned (too many times), it's a shame we can't get good, reliably "fresh" kits in the US, especially Mangrove Jack's. I'd be happy to brew and enjoy this one. The way you described it suits me fine. Citrusy beers are too often "pithy" and way out of balance. I don't mind a hint of citrus as long as it's balanced with other characteristics. Cheers mate! 🍺🍻

    • @Schnuz
      @Schnuz 2 месяца назад

      Many thanks for watching and commenting. The kits are an easy option but you could always swap out the dry hop pellets for some fresher ones 😉. This one was fruity but not citrusy as I was dreading. Like you I find a lot of the citrusy beers, that people rave about, are way out of balance and too pithy for me. I have just filmed one this week, might be a while before it gets published, but that one was too pithy and a bit yack 🤢! stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

      Many thanks for watching and commenting. It was a good kit and one that I enjoyed. My vids tend to be a little "historic" so the footage tends to be a little old to keep the content coming. This one was actually filmed on June third which was less than two weeks after we killed Smaller, something that I wasn't really ready to do at the time. It was the best thing to do for her and I will get round to sharing it soon. Apologies for dumping slightly and many thanks for asking. Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.

My vids tend to be a little "historic" as I try to get them recorded and edited and scheduled in RUclips for when I get a busy period and can't get something up. This video was actually filmed on the third of June, which was less than two weeks after we had Smaller killed 😢. I wasn't ready to talk about that then😢 (obviously) and I wasn't even ready to let her go at the time 😢. I think I may be ready to share her passing soon and will probably bump it up the queue as she was a far more important thing in my life than most of the other bollox that I put up 😢. Sorry to dump that on you but you asked so bollox to you🤣 (and thanks for asking 😎) ! Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.
